This is the second of two illustrations done for the Macon corporation. They requested a city scape view of Thessaloniki. This seemed a near impossible task based on the length of the city and the amount of recognisable buildings. After some discussion it was decided to do the design like the sketch above. mainly as detail was too much and time consuming for the time. Their emphasis was to do a focus on building renewal. So as long as the foreground buildings had the focus, this was OK. Also, as the paraleia has a 5km stretch and the main famous landmarks are at either end, these were incorporated. The final image can be seen below.
